Age Group Championship – Info Session Highlights

We’re getting closer to the Age Group Championship in Managua, Nicaragua and the excitement is building. Yesterday, the AAF Board hosted an information session for our qualified athletes, their parents and their Team President to go over all the key details for the upcoming trip.

This session was all about making sure our athletes feel confident and supported heading into competition. Here’s a quick overview of what was covered:

✈️ Travel & Flight Info:

We shared important travel logistics, including flight schedules, airport meet-up times and what to pack. Everyone should now have a clear idea of the travel process from departure to arrival in Managua.

🏨 Accommodations:

We reviewed the hotel arrangements and what athletes can expect when they arrive at the team’s accommodation. Safety and comfort are top priorities.

📅 Day 1 & 2 Schedule:

We walked through what Days 1 and 2 (July 5 & 6) will look like,  team meetings and opening ceremonies.

👥 Delegation & Staff:

Athletes and families were introduced to the full delegation: Team Leader, Coaches and the Safeguard Officer. Now everyone knows exactly who to turn to for guidance or support during the trip

📜 Code of Conduct:

A reminder of what it means to represent our team and country with pride. We talked about expectations around behavior, teamwork and respecting the championship environment both on and off the track.

🎯 What to Expect:

From cultural experiences to competition intensity, we gave athletes and parents a realistic picture of what the trip will be like. Whether it’s meals, transportation or downtime activities, nothing was left out.

We’re incredibly proud of this group of athletes and can’t wait to see them shine on the international stage 💪
