Carifta Games 2025 – Updates
Wyndel Beyde and Christiaan Jansen from Team Pegasus ran with heart, grit, and soul today — and the results were nothing short of incredible.
Coming in with qualifying times of 16:14.10 (Wyndel) and 16:26.59 (Christiaan), both athletes shattered expectations by breaking the 16-minute barrier in the finals @ The Carifta Games 2025:
• Wyndel Beyde – 15:58.94 (Gold Medalist, U20 Boys 5000m)
• Christiaan Jansen – 15:59.99 (2nd place, U20 Boys 5000m)
For those who know the sport, every second counts when chasing a personal best time and these two proved they’re not just in the race, they’re redefining it.
Wyndel, in his first year in the U20 category and recently transitioning to the 5000m, took gold with confidence and poise.
Meanwhile, Christiaan made his Carifta Games debut not as a track specialist, but as a triathlete — and still broke the 16-minute mark against the region’s best.
These performances mark a new era for Track & Field in the region.
