Day 1 Recap – Movement, Values & Community
The Kids Athletics Celebration officially kicked off yesterday at Centro Deportivo Betico Croes, bringing together young coaches, athletes, volunteers, and families for an evening filled with energy, learning, and inspiration.
The event was formally opened by AAF President Ms.Anecy Toussaint and closed with remarks by AAF Treasurer Mr. Fernando de Graf
Day 1 focused on the development of fundamental movement and athletics skills for children. Key themes shared during the session included values in sport, personal achievement and celebration, the importance of belonging, and promoting inclusion. The session was both fun and meaningful for all participants.
The session was facilitated by Rudolph Simon and Roberto Chavarria, who guided the activities with enthusiasm and a strong sense of purpose, helping to make the experience both educational and enjoyable.
Coming Up: Day 2 Highlights
Today’s session (Day 2) will continue with the remaining essential topics of the Kids Athletics program, such as safeguarding in sport, planning and organizing events, and creating a safe and supportive environment for all.
