AAF proudly announces a new National Record in the U17 Women’s 1500m 🙏🏽🇦🇼🏃🏽♀️🔥
A time of 5:03.33 was set by Emma Gobert of Sportsz4U Triathlon Academy, marking a historic achievement for Aruban athletics.
On Day 1 of the AAF ARU Athletics Festival (02-11-2026), Emma Gobert successfully qualified for the Carifta Games 2026, which will be held in Grenada this April.
Competing in the 1500 meters, Emma recorded a time of 5:03.33, which not only secured her qualification but also set a new U17 Women’s National Record, breaking her own record set just weeks ago at the AAF Kickoff Classic.
