Our World Athletics Level 1 Practical Coaching Course officially kicked off and 15 motivated participants arrived full of energy and enthusiasm, ready to take the next step in their coaching journey.
We began the day with a refresher on key theoretical concepts, ensuring everyone was aligned and confident before transitioning to the hands-on portion. Shortly after, we moved to the stadium where the real excitement began. The practical training sessions were dynamic, interactive and filled with teamwork and positive energy.
The vibe among the participants was fantastic, everyone supported one another, asked great questions and showed true passion for learning. Our facilitator, Mr. Roy Thomas from Jamaica, a certified World Athletics Trainer together with assistant trainer Mr. Peter Simon, a World Athletics Asst Lecturer provided excellent guidance, demonstrations and feedback throughout the day. Their expertise and mentorship helped create a strong, engaging learning environment.
What an amazing Day 1.
Tomorrow, we continue building on this momentum with practical sessions focusing on long jump technique and additional event-specific training.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this exciting week of coaching development
